A hunter, lost in the woods, came across a wolf. The wolf did not attack the human but led him through the woods until they reached the edge of the forest. The hunter gave the animal a piece of meat as a sign of his gratitude.

    Really enjoyable piece with a totally unexpected twist at the end. A timely reminder, as another blogger said, that in the end a woof is still a wolf.

  6. As I read this my own wolf (sorry lab/retriever) was lying next to me. Fortunately he is well fed so I don’t need to concern myself with being eaten!

  7. You have an error in the 2nd sentence. “Lead” should be “led”.
