299 down, one to go

Tomorrow I will be posting my 300th and final story. In all honesty, I never thought I’d have the stamina to reach that goal, but here we are.

And most of that is thanks to you guys: my readers. It is so much easier to write stories if you know there are more than 4,000 people out there – from Syria to Australia, from Kenya to Peru – following your endeavour. Your comments, often appreciative, sometimes critical, have enriched not only my writing but myself as well.

So, from the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU! Thank you for being there on this journey I shall never forget.

For those of you who have asked me whether I’ll continue writing these stories – and there have been many – be sure to check out story number 300 tomorrow. It will contain some subtle hints about the future of this blog. 😉

A massive achievement, and like most things, you’re never the same person by the end that you were at the beginning.

An amazing piece of work/art/inspiration…. such a range of concept and style too. Obviously you could put these out as their own book.. and you should. But the other side is that so many of these are the downpayment, as it were, on deeper, longer novels.
(John Updike worked this way… many of his novels started out as short stories that he then expanded.).
Nice stuff Dieter. Keep it up.
    Blessings,
    Len

  18. I’ve always wanted to do something like this. Maybe this is the summer to start.

  19. John says:

It’s been a great time … quick stories, great writing; always looked forward to reading the next one!

Now you just need to collect them together, and make a book …
