A driver, an inmate, a lover, a painter, a drummer

Are Brits by default the best actors in the world? I wouldn’t necessarily say that, but on my year-end list they combine for three out of the five spots. In what was once again a stellar year for thespians, these five performances will in my opinion stand the test of time.

I think I know what your favourite movie of 2014 will be ;). I must vote for my man Joaquin among your selection (Her = one of my top three movies of all time. Best screenplay, cinematography, performance…). I had totally forgotten about Starred Up. Great, intense film. Great performance by O’Connell.

    Although, again… I haven’t watched Mr. Turner… yet.

I’m enjoying your daily videos. Looking forward to your ultimate list on the 31st. Cheers.

Her was a crazy movie! I just watched it and could not believe that I actually felt emotions for this OS. It was really well done and had me talking for the next 24 hours about…how weird it was when the OS wanted a body, how big of a bitch his ex wife was, how amazing some of his friends turned out to be in the understanding department, and how sad it was that in this future people even outsourced their emotions.

PS Tom Hardy is someone I have only recently began noticing and he is amazing, that is all. Good choices ๐Ÿ™‚

Timothy Spall is a great actor, 1st for me too. I enjoyed watching this post.
